A thousand words and then some

Even if there weren't any official announcement for a Sketchavember this year, I still called on the thought to spur myself forward in practicing free-hand drawing with the tablet. I only had so much time to sketch after work, what with gym at the start of my day, and just no time to do anything else at work (I use my break for tags and foods).

I became a little frustrated as I wasn't able to produce an ideal "a sketch a day" rhythm, but what I did instead, is that I cobbled pieces together over a span of several days. Granted, they're not as complete as my traditional works would have, but again, it's me still trying to become at home with the tablet and getting my rusty hinges working again.

Out of this whole experience, I will still carry on practicing with the tablet and I hope to develop a style that is presentable and of course, one that I'll be happy with.

I should also consider buying a new scanner. >.>;;
 

Catching up on old prompts given to me last January 16 x_x, and rescanned two pieces upon request. And WOW I've missed drawing so much that the two new drawings just flowed out and made things easy for me~ So before I crash...

First batch of doodles for 2011! :D Yay(?) \o/

I don't really fancy myself in drawing chibis since I always think they're not "cute enough." Other people's chibis are far better (cuter, funnier, fluffier, sexier -- like how anibunny does them), and I'm just inconsistent in drawing them. It's always a case of hit or miss.

With this batch however, I had a lot of fun, and I think there were more hits than misses. So here's a quick batch, taken from prompts at Plurk~

I should probably do open requests like this more often -- once a month, perhaps? This is the third time in a row I was able to do it (though the 11/10 and 12/10 batches still have prompts still left to be filled; and I still have prompts left over from '09 which I have NOT forgotten.) Never mind if they're all chibis, but if it allows me to just sit down and DRAW, then I'm happy. ^_^

... now I realize I haven't written anything in a long time. Hm... :|a
