Today's my last day of sick leave, and tomorrow, I'm back to work. I don't know when I'll be able to sit down and draw to my heart's content again, but I hope it comes sooner than later.

I managed to color 2 drawings I made last year, and sketched a new one. I call this set an experiment on lighting. (... which might not be momentarily obvious as, again, camphone pics. I should really learn how to take better pictures of my sketches and drawings. /sagenod)

Tomorrow marks the last day of my sick leave, and I hope to be able to draw and color as much as I can, so I can return to work, satisfied! \o/

... that wasn't my most creative subject line, but please bear with me as I attempt to come up with some kind of regularity in my drawing habits |D;;

All I can say is, really, I'm glad to be holding my pencils (colored and otherwise) again. While I was already driven, come new year, to get back to drawing again, it was a conversation with my cousin that added fuel to the fire. I know that some of my online friends have expressed this in their own ways, but yes, there are indeed others who appreciate what I do.

A part of me regrets deleting my deviantArt account, but I'm now charging it to my goal of letting go of things both bad and good. While the former is pretty much a given, the latter is needed to be able to make space for bigger and better things. I looked at my dA account as something that I wanted "back", but we all know that you can't bring back the past. So like the Elrics who burned their house down, I swallow my pride and my hangups and just do what makes me happy: drawing fanart and silly things \:D/ !

I just can't say how much drawing makes me feel so good and accomplished (which is saying more than usual as I'm fighting bronchitis this week :x ), and I'm happy to find that thing about drawing where I don't care what others think of my work. So what if I like drawing people posing? So what if I don't have backgrounds? So what if their clothes (if any!) aren't fancy? They're my drawings, and I love what I do.

Anyhow, much as I'd love to live for the night, my body needs rest if I'm to get rid of this sick X3;; See you all next time!

Sadly belated only for LJ and DW as I purposely avoided using the computer over the holidays. I only had Plutone for company as it were, and was only able to upload to more immediate platforms -- and this is something I'd like to voice out in a bit. Before anything else though, please let me extend my proper holiday greetings to all of you -- and apologies for the poor quality camphone pictures:

Anyhow, I'm looking forward to doing a lot more drawing this year (because apparently, saying "more drawing" isn't enough. It has to be "a lot more.") I can't believe I only have 4 folders in my Photobucket for 2013, AND THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE.

I'm also looking at a more casual format, in the case that I don't have time to sit down and scan. I've given Instagram a try, so that I'll be able to apply some quick color corrections on doodles on the fly before publishing -- except that I have to install another app just so I can circumvent the forced square size. :/ Hm. Pondering options~

Until the next drawing post, then, which I hope is very soon! For now, I wish for all of you to have a great year ahead! xoxo!

I was so happy to finally see Kiki and Raki in Saint Seiya: Omega, that it just made my day. I was about to "celebrate" by just making a drawing that says, "this day was brought to you by Kiki and Raki" or "this day was brought to you by the letter Ω!" but I thought that there were other things that made my day complete...

I'm not really going through my sketchpad strictly in order, but since I'm way past their due dates, I might as well attempt to group them in a coherent fashion.

Below are sketches of Capricorn El Cid and an AU version of Kiki. Some of Kiki's sketches were done upon request -- I'll explain as I go along~

I truly am going at a snail's pace, partly because of coming home tired at the end of the day (which is a good thing since I work out before work and I get to sleep quite well), and that I just like taking my time.

This doodle dump comes in two and a half parts: two for completed pieces along with cropped/icon'ed versions, and "half" as it's a review of a previous piece.

( I'm living in a box but I'm out when opportunity nox )

This below under the cut is very image heavy -- two versions of one completed work, and ten varying icon crops. ^^; I thought I'd choose a little later once the set comes together.

Alright! One last before I go -- a review of Backlighted Sheepie. Again, recoloring the purple shadow/highlight layer into a warmer brown.
