[Fanart - Gundam 00] Gunskittles + Chall

In the absence of Chall the Bamboo Fun Tablet, I've decided that I cannot let this week pass without drawing.

Today, we have two of taichara's Gunskittles: GN-004 Nadleeh (twinfaced) & GN-003 Kyrios (mercifulwind); and a sketch of Chall Acustica.

Nadleeh is played by Aquarius Camus of the Saint Seiya manga. I am personally iffy with regards to his forked eyebrows, so here I took the liberty of making them "normal" looking.

In drawing these two Gunskittles, I did not think of the character they were played by. Though of course, the main references were the icons chosen by their mun, but I called upon my "artistic liberties" and design them the way I see and feel them.

Kyrios is played by Seahorse Baian, also of Saint Seiya. As I was drawing his eyes and hair, I realized that he looked a little like his Meister. ;) My personal quip on this piece is that he looks a tad too young... ^^;;

I also had Gundam Seed Destiny's Rey Za Burrel in my head while I was drawing this, which explains the "curls." :D;;

And finally a Chall. This is actually a study on what clothes I can give her, and how much hair I will have to work with. I also wanted to emulate the styles of Taraku Uon and Mori Kaoru of giving women some more meat, but it would seem that I'll need more practice in that regard...

As I was drawing this piece, I really want to give Chall a happy ending -- in the main timeline, or in the Gunskittle-verse. ;)

Traditional media, yes!!!!!! Love the pics! My RP Anew isn't colored yet. Just a little of it is inked, but nothing more. (And I'll be sewing and dying hair these days because of Anime Expo and Otakon. I've finally persuaded Gilad to go Hallelujah as well.)

Normal eyebrows are fine for Nadleeh ;3 I didn't want to try editing them out of his icons (for a few different reasons), but he doesn't have the fearsome forks so terribly as Camus. Ehehe.

And interpreting them away from the icons is not only just fine but a good thing! -- because the Gunskittles don't look exactly like the StS characters (or Arios), those are just the closest examples I can find to how I picture them myself :3;;


Kyrios does look a little youngish (more rounded in the face, so cute), but it's all good :3 And the "curls" -- he does have some of those. I wish the Baian art was a little more consistent that way.

And yeee~ees, he does look a little like his Meister ;3 Which has led to all kinds of interesting comments and moments ~~


I like Chall here too. :3 The colours work for her very nicely, and I like seeing her with her hair down ~

I didn't have much problems with Nadleeh -- though should I draw him again, I may have to tweak the hair just a little bit -- make it thicker and heavier.

Kyrios, I was thinking of one of the Gunskittle RP threads in gundressed -- I think one of them mentioned in passing about Kyrios' resemblance to Alle.

Rey was attacking my brain while I was drawing, so I'll keep that Alle resemblance in mind next time.

And I think Chall looks better with her hair down, albeit more "docile." Well, the ponytail was kinda meh for me.

I really like tha job you did on Chall - she reminds me of Integra Hellsing someway, just less manly.. so, massive love for her!
I also like your human-Gundams.. they remind me of Saint Seiya's characters and Kyrios is a Dylandy, LMAO... did you paint Dynames too? :D

I've heard of the comparisons of Chall with Integra. And there was another anime with a heavily scarred, gun-toting, red miniskirt-wearing white-haired badass woman. I just can't remember the title of the show nor the name of the character.

The idea of human Gundams is by taichara -- they play at gundressed ;).

And they ARE inspired by St. Seiya characters! Nadleeh is Camus, Kyrios is a Dylandy XD Baian. I still have to draw Dynames (clovershot) and Sadalsuud. I've drawn Plutone (http://community.livejournal.com/aethra_folio/9579.html), Exia () and Astraea (http://community.livejournal.com/aethra_folio/8541.html) (though this one's not St. Seiya-esque. I'm quite sure you'll guess Plutone, Dynames and Exia though. ;D)

I think you have Balalajka from Black-Lagoon in mind.. Chall seems a..softer kind, though. Just for my curiosity, is it known if she has any relationship with Feldt? and wich kind of it... ?

Yes, Balalaika indeed! I have yet to watch the anime (checkin' out ep1 right now.)

Chall, according to the English-Google-translated-Chinese-translations (*phew!*) of 00P File 10 (aptly titled "Chall Acustica",) is the godmother/guardian of Feldt. It opens a little can of worms though, but leaves us with a nice space for speculation. ;)

Well done! I like all of them, especially the Nadleeh/Camus without the forked eyebrows. LOL! You did it well, they are kind of scary :P
The other anime you remember with the scary platinum blonde is Black Lagoon, and the lady is Balalaika. Yeah, she reminds me a lot of Integra and Chall. ^^
